Leviticus: Purity - Ch. 8-15
from Lindsay Lane East Hosted by Heath Haney
What happens when unholy people try to enter the presence of a perfectly holy God? That question sits at the heart of Leviticus, and it turns out the answer is more relevant to our daily lives than we might expect. Drawing from Leviticus 8 through 15, we explore the story of Aaron's sons Nadab and Abihu, two newly ordained priests who offered unauthorized fire before the Lord and were consumed as a result. The striking lesson here is that their sin was not merely a procedural mistake. It was a heart problem. They did not treat God as holy. How we worship reveals what we actually believe about God. If our view of God is small or casual, our worship will reflect that. But when we grasp the weight of His holiness, everything changes, from the way we pray to the way we live. This message challenges us to examine our worship honestly and ask what it says about who we believe God to be.
