Lewisville Regional Park reopens Wednesday after a fire destroyed the Central picnic shelter in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 12. The shelter, built between 1936 and 1940 under the Works Progress Administration, was one of six original structures in a park listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
