Lexus verhoogt de garantietermijn voor auto's naar tien jaar. De garantie tot 10 jaar (of 200.000 kilometer) geldt voor nieuwe en bestaande Lexus-rijders. De termijn is gekoppeld aan de auto en dus overdraagbaar. Lexus roept andere autofabrikanten op om ook tien jaar garantie te geven.  Verder in de auto-update: Het Internationaal Energieagentschap heeft een tienpuntenplan opgesteld om het olieverbruik in de wereld te verminderen.
