Where transhumanism advocates augmentation and enhancement of the mind and body, posthumanism aims to replace humans completely, reducing the population of natural biological specimens as various forms of artificial intelligence take over. The signs of this transformation can be seen everywhere, from the war on the family unit to dependence-by-design on franken-foods and pharmaceuticals, and from the promotion of suicide – the so-called ‘right to die’ – and the undermining of social and cultural mores, gender, and even biological reality.
