LGBT Music: Drake Jensen & Patrick Masse "Go Your Own Way"
from The Randy Report - LGBTQ Politics & Entertainment · host Randy Slovacek
Canada's premier LGBT solo country artists, Drake Jensen & Patrick Masse, talk about their new, upbeat country song, “ Go Your Own Way,” meant to inspire young people who are bombarded with the message that they are “less than.” The bright pop-country track has a liberating, anti-bullying message for young LGBTs in the closet, and also knocks down the damaging imaging in social media that perpetuates the idea of perfection, or that we aren’t good enough. “The fact is we can do something about it. We can go our own way,” reads the press release for the single. After just one week, "Go Your Own Way" has landed on the Top 10 Most Active Indies chart. Jensen and Masse have also launched the “Go Your Own Way” Project on Facebook, a positive, interactive space encouraging folks to share photos and videos expressing how they "go their own way.” It’s a case of Canadian East meets West as Jensen (from Ottowa) and Masse (from Vancouver) team up for to share a powerful, timely message. I've been a fan of both artists for years, and I'm thrilled to share their new song. "Go Your Own Way" is available on all digital download sites including iTunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/go-your-own-way-single/id1245399631) More info at: www.DrakeJensen.ca www.PatrickMasse.com
