US inflation data was released this morning, and the figures have surprised experts. The US CPI inflation rate slowed down to 5 percent in March, the lowest level recorded in nearly two years. NZ Herald business editor at large Liam Dann was pleasantly surprised by these inflation figures, saying some core inflation data wasn't as good, but it was headed in the right direction.
