Liberating a Bandit Camp.

from naeemulnepun 3Speak Podcast · host naeemulnepun

https://3speak.tv/watch?v=naeemulnepun/1cf26d78 I found a bandit camp this time, where I cleared took down some archers before sneaking inside. I quietly eliminated a bandit torturing captives, then assassinated patrols near the docks. After defeating the rest via a formal standoff challenge, I finished the final bandit in a close-quarters melee battle. I have been liberating Mongol territories all this time to reclaim the island, but this time I found a bandit camp that I decided to take care of instead. The lawless rogues were preying on the weak, using a secluded lakeside as their hidden base of operations. My first target became that archer who was on a lookout tower keeping watch over the valley. I drew my half-bow carefully, keeping my breath steady, and I took him down with a clean headshot with my bow and arrow before he could raise an alarm. As there were no front gates opened to get inside the fortified perimeter, I was looking around for an alternative route to slip past their defenses. From a rocky ridge, I shot another archer down who was guarding this lakeside area from a tower. Then I jumped from that bridge and landed on a stone there that was like a barrier of the camp. I at last entered the camp through the gap, keeping low in the pampas grass as I started looking around for any immediate threats. There I heard some ladies screaming for help from a small bamboo house nearby. After getting close and peering inside, I noticed a bandit was likely torturing them. I left them for a moment to plan his demise, knowing I had to act fast. This bandit became my next target, who was the primary threat around that house at the moment. I circled around the wooden structure to find an opening that would allow me to neutralize him without putting the innocent captives in further danger. Then I went inside that house through a window that was behind him, and I took him down quietly. Those ladies got scared more by the sudden my sudden action, but they were finally safe. I checked on another bandit through that broken window as I was planning my next move in the camp. He was patrolling the central courtyard, completely unaware that his comrade inside the house had already met a swift and silent end. Then I went ahead and reached this site from where I could see two bandits who were training along with wooden swords. Their movements were sloppy compared to a samurai, but their numbers could still prove troublesome if I rushed in blindly. I followed this bandit who was walking towards the lakeside, whom I air-assassinated. And then I took down another closeby guard with a quick slash before he could scream to call the rest of his friends. I ended suffering of that last bandit who was clinging to health. Then I could try and assassinate the remaining bandits using the shadows, but I called them out and challenged them openly. And when they came running to me in a rage, I cut them all down with precise parries and strikes. There was one remained who fled toward the center. I decided to try an air assassination, so I lured him toward that tower and started climbing up the ladder. But I didn't see any way to jump on him from the narrow platform. So I climbed down the wooden beams and I took him down in a fierce melee battle. Then I climbed up on this tower and checked around after liberating the camp, ensuring peace had finally returned to this corner of the island.
