Raised in Cleveland and educated in the Cleveland Public Schools, he earned degrees from Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Goler serves as Professor of Sociology and Urban Affairs and Director of Research at the Center for African American Public Policy at Norfolk State University.
