Liberty for the Oppressed

Fingerprints mark an individual as unique. In the next section of Luke’s Gospel, he details for us the unique mission and passion of Jesus. We see he is the last Adam, the Anointed King, sent to bring good news to the poor, liberty to the captives, sight to the blind, freedom to the oppressed and God’s favor to the world. In this teaching you will learn that Jesus brings liberty to those who are oppressed. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed," Luke 4:18(ESV)
