Libraries: Tianjin Binhai Library

In today’s episode we explore the evolution and design of Libraries with Maria Lopez Calleja, architect and Senior Associate at MVRDV. As a design team leader for the firm, Maria will provide unique insight as we also highlight the Tianjin Binhai Library in Tianjin, China, designed by MVRDV and Tianjin Urban Planning and Design Institute. Maria discusses inspirations for design, the design process, we touch on a unique criticism of the design, and dig into design concept vs. reality.
