Mortality - Life after Death Is it proper to Focus on Heaven? Yes Colossians 3:1-2 Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things Hebrews 11:13-16  Proper Use of Imagination?  Yes To imagine something does NOT mean it is imaginary. ex: I am going on a cruise.  I can imagine what it will be like. I have not been on a cruise, but I have been on a boat.  Proper Fuel for our imagination? = Bible Verbal Plenary Inspiration = means words authority breathed out by God God chose the exact words He wanted to use in order to communicate with us.  (Words have meaning) 3 Encouraging things the Bible says about Heaven 1. It is Earth!  v.21  New heaven and New earth.  God has always had a plan to come and be with us 2. it is Life!  Eternal life - no death 3. It has no Curse Revelation 22:3 - and there will no longer be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His slaves will serve Him. a. No suffering = no pain, no sadness - all joy!! b. No sparring = no fighting - we all get along c. No striving = no sweat of our browl - the lion and the lamb will be beside one another d. No separation = our body and soul are separated when we die, but we will have a resurrected body and soul No separation from God if you are a believer!
