Life After Paralysis Pt 2- Doretha Daniels

In Part 2 of this wonderful, touching episode, Doretha Daniels share her life’s challenges after the onset of paralysis. After going through a divorce and a lengthy hospitalization, the Lord gives her beauty for ashes. Every opportunity the Lord gave her she willing and openly shared the love of God by serving and helping others.  Doretha’s life started out so beautifully. She was raised in a loving Christian home. Her parents were educators and graduates of Prairie View A & M University. They were considered middle class and could afford to send Doretha to take private piano lessons. Doretha was baptized, later confirmed, sang in the Junior choir, played the piano at two United Methodist churches and one summer taught music at vacation bible school. She also served as a girl's scout.Doretha believed she was a good person and thought that she could earn her way to salvation, eternal life, and to heaven.At the time and according to society's standards, she thought she was living her best life!  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with honors from Prairie View A& M University. She was hired as a Programmer Analyst with Shell. Two and a half years later she got married. Her husband was a Mechanical Engineer.  They had their first son and two months or so later she became a stay-at-home mom. They quickly adjusted to her husband’s income. Life was great!Then one night at the age of 31 while sitting on the edge of the bed she felt her muscles relaxing and she could no longer sit up.
