To the young gospel preacher Timothy the aged evangelist Paul said, “Take heed to yourselves and to the doctrine continue in them, for in so doing you will save both yourself and all those who hear you,” 1 Timothy 4:16.We welcome you to our final study on the life and work of a gospel preacher.As always we encourage you to locate your Bible and let's study together as we think about this good subject.What is a gospel preacher really like?In our previous lesson, we noted some of the principles Paul laid out in his address to the Ephesian elders.Today we continue with that idea identifying what makes a good evangelist, a good preacher of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We began with this very important principle gospel preachers must realize: don't let the trials and tribulations we face keep us from preaching the gospel.Look at Acts 20:24. Paul has talked about some of the things he's dealt with, and some of the persecution that he's endured.
