Cat is living a dream of so many people - she living abroad in Europe! She shares her experience of being an Au Pair for a host family in Arezzo Italy - a place near Florence that she fell in love with at an early age. She shares with us how you can apply for an Au Pair position abroad, what it is like to live with a host family, how much you get paid, and how to be selective on which family to choose. She was able to speak with the family's previous American Au Pair for a reference. While an Au Pair, she was able to travel with the family to their beach house, to other areas of Italy, and immerse herself in the Italian culture. Did someone say cappuccino? One thing she didn't expect to happen was how hard emotionally it would be to leave the family at the end of her stay. As soon as she got home to America after her time as an Au Pair, she immediately started thinking of how she can get back to Europe.
