Blake and I have been best homies since day 1 – from SEA to SEA – Seattle to SE Asia. We even went to every school together all the way thru college. By him choosing to volunteer in Kenya after his junior year, it set in motion a cascade of events that led me to also be living abroad and doing this video right now. I wanted to tell the story of how he got involved in international business and how that contributed to Parker and I's motivation to get out of the country and experience the world. Blake visited us in Chiang Mai last spring for a couple months and he came out again this year to live in Saigon and the Philippines with us (Davao, Manila) - this time with the mission of coming out of the 2-month visit with a new Amazon product ready to launch. ✈️ We all have the travel bug, and running our Amazon business allows us to stay out here and switch cities as we please. Every travel lover's dream is passive income - and we just paid attention to what other travelers were doing to get it. Our first step was saving as much money from our jobs as possible and cutting down on living expenses back home by sharing a 1-bedroom apartment for a year. Yes I slept on the couch for a year. It will take sacrifices, but if you want extended travel and the freedom to live in any city at any time to be a big part of your life, you have to get an online "job". I see no other way of doing it. We get into how it was living in the philippines, living in chiang mai, and living in vietnam as digital nomads. And why you should become a Location Independent Entrepreneur too. 📝About Riley aka Pliez: I quit my job in October '14 and moved to Chiang Mai, Thailand (the Digital Nomad capital of the world) with my best friend on a mission to replace our 9-5 incomes online and travel the world. Well, I'm still out here folks and it's amazing.
