Life: Changing Perspective w/ Ghetto Seeds still Grow (non-profit)

from Are You Maat Material? · host Nyair A Maat

We made the trip once again! With the help of one of our previous guests, The Pick-Up, we managed to interview Jelani, the creator and one of his first mentees Shemar, to open up with us about Ghetto Seeds still Grow and their impact on predominantly African American families. Ghetto Seeds still Grow, is a mission-driven non-profit focused on improving the lives of African American children located on the Northside of Jacksonville through financial literacy, mental health, giving back, mentoring, entrepreneurship, volunteering, life skills, and more. Their goal is to change the trajectory of these kids in challenging neighborhoods to shed new light and alternatives to life and their environment. We discussed his background, military, his young mentoring career, what motivated him on his journey in creating such an organization, the impact of his mentors, what the future looks like for him, volunteering opportunities, the soul of Christ, and ended the episode with prayer. He is attempting to break generational curses! Feel free to give them a follow and look out for future products!  Ghetto Seeds still Grow: Insta: theghettoseeds Founder: Jelani Jelani_success Mentee: Shemar Insta: smcnair15 The Pick-Up:  Insta: @thepickupjax Founder: Adam Barso Insta: a_baraso
