If you want to keep the grain safe, you protect it, store it, keep it from being buried, exposed, or broken down. And it stays exactly as it is—one grain, alone, unfruitful. But if you're willing to let it fall into the ground, if you're willing to let it die—to be buried, broken down, lose its original form—something amazing happens. It multiplies. Losing Your Life to Keep It: Jesus applies this principle to our lives: "Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life." The Abundance of Surrender: Surrender brings multiplication—when you give generously, God multiplies your resources.
