In this episode, we're catching up with High School student, and Girls Mentorship alum, Dillan Lowrie. A year ago we had the incredible opportunity to mentor Dillan. Today we're chatting with her about how she went from skeptical about this whole "life coach" idea, to seeing the benefits she's gained from having mentors in her corner to support her. Of course, we're here to be an additional support to parents, but at the end of the day we want the  girls we work with to know that we are on their team, and will treat them as the adults they will become. Tune in to hear Dillan share how she has learned to have hard conversations, communicate better with her parents and her boss at work.    01:50 What was your first thought when your mom told you about working with us? 08:00 How did you feel empowered after working with us? 11:15 The power of changing perspective and seeing more opportunities. 13:15 How has your 3rd year at boarding school changed? 16:40 Practicing having hard conversations. 20:30 How is Snapchat a way you stay connected with your peers? 25:15 What advice would you give to parents about why Snapchat is so important for teens? 27:40 What advice do you have for parents who want their kids to spend less time on their phones? 31:00 Ways to approach conversations and learn from each other as parents and children. 35:30 What has been your biggest lesson this past year?
