Life In The Spirit

Jesus in John 10:10 said, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.” The most satisfying life is a life in Christ... Jesus is attractive to hurting people, to people in need. People who need love, acceptance and forgiveness. Verse 36: “So let everyone in Israel know for certain that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, to be both Lord and Messiah!” Let me ask you a question this morning right out of the gate.... Who killed Jesus? If you watched the movie “the Passion of the Christ” Mel Gibson who produced the movie had one of those Peter moments where the Holy Spirit worked in him mightily, when he was asked if he had any role in the movie and he said yes. The screne where Jesus is crucified and there is a hand holding the nail in places while the other strikes the nail with a Hamer. He said it was his hand holding the spike that nailed Jesus to the Cross and his hand holding the hammer that struck the nail. It was my sin and your sin that Jesus died for. ----------------- Thank you for listening to the Calvary Chapel Bakersfield podcast!
