Life is unpredictable, folks. In a flash, South Carolina has lost its senior United States Senator. Lindsey Graham passed away suddenly, and the entire state, and really the whole country, is reeling from the news. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, his staff, and every South Carolinian who counted on him for more than two decades. Graham was a veteran who brought that same sense of duty to the Senate. He fought hard on national security and foreign policy, and whether you agreed with him on every issue or not, you knew where he stood. As the President just said, this is a big loss. We’re going to spend today unpacking exactly what this means. Our guest will walk us through what some are already calling the “new 40-day Senator” and how the seat will be filled. Then we’ll hear directly from South Carolina’s Congresswoman Nancy Mace on Graham’s passing and his legacy.
