The U.S. Supreme Court has handed down a unanimous decision protecting free speech and donor privacy for a pro-life pregnancy center in New Jersey. In First Choice Women’s Resource Centers v. Platkin, the justices ruled the ministry can challenge a sweeping subpoena that demanded donor names, contact information, and internal records.   Justice Neil Gorsuch wrote that government demands for private donor information can burden constitutional rights. That means pro-life groups do not have to wait until state officials fully enforce intimidation tactics before seeking relief in federal court.   This case matters nationwide.
