Life Lessons From John Maxwell's Father - Part 2

from The Help Made Millionaire Podcast · host Joel Dunn

Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to a talk from John Maxwell about lessons from his father Melvin. He truly learned a tremendous amount of the wisdom he teaches and walks in from his father, which makes this legacy series so powerful. Over the next few episodes, we will dive into this series and really look at everything he learned and how we can apply those principles in our own lives to leave an amazing legacy of our own. Here are some of the high points from this second episode: You don't have to be like me for me to VALUE you. If you only talk to people who agree with you, who are you actually reaching? Pour good things into people. Live in such a way that you are adding something that HELPS them. What you think may be small, might be huge for someone else! Encouragement draws people to you -- if you want to have a team around you that love spending time around you, become a person who constantly encourages others. How do you know people need encouragement... if they are BREATHING!! We all need it! Work Hard: Doing the right things always compounds into something positive. Sometimes, you have to do the right thing for a significant amount of time before it creates that clear positive momentum you're looking for. Be the person who is known for putting in the effort, but also create rhythms that allow you to work smart! "Options" is one of John's favorite words... because there are often many ways to get to the destination you feel called to run after.  Trust and obey God. Period.    If you prefer to watch this episode via YouTube, check it out here: https://youtu.be/Yk-2fnx488k
