John 17:11b-19 The longest recorded prayer from the Lord Jesus in Scripture is found only in the gospel of John; it is called His "High Priestly Prayer" in that much of it is a prayer of intercession on behalf of those He loves. It was actually a pre-cross "sneak" preview of Christ's post-cross intercessory work as High Priest of His Church.
