Life On Mars

Life On Mars S2E15 Our memories of recent sci-fi shows on Mars had us recalling that it took 20 minutes for a radio signal to travel, at the speed of light, between Earth and Mars. Yet, as the new Mars rover landed, mission-control talked about a heartbeat signal from the rover, traveling between the two planets was in real-time. Did it? Or is the whole scenario playing out in the Nevada desert somewhere? If that’s not enough to confuse anyone, then we started looking for RED DOTS, here, there, and everywhere. No to be confused with paintings that have been sold at an art gallery. The whale and plant from Hitchhiker’s Guide turn up for a brief visit and we got onto the topic of do we need to think about leaving this planet fairly soon. Just some of the topics we discuss in this episode. Hope you enjoy?
