from Ideas at the House
NASA is in the early stages of preparing to send the first astronauts to the red planet. The 2020 Rover mission will be searching for signs of habitable conditions on Mars, as well as past microbial life. Is this the first step to humanity spreading out into the galaxy? Is there already simple life on the red planet? Do we have galactic neighbours? Physicist Professor Paul Davies from Arizona State University, geologist Dr Abigail Allwood of NASA, Dr Mitch Schulte of Mars 2020 Rover mission and UNSW’s Professor Martin van Kranendonk tackle these questions and more as they discuss life on Mars. Chaired by Graham Phillips. Recorded live at Sydney Opera House, August 17 2017. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
