Life Stories... With Dave Galley

Dave is one of the most experienced Physiotherapists in football having spent over 35 years with teams such as Port Vale, Sunderland and Stoke City. He tells me about how working in this area was the only thing he wanted to do after deciding he wanted to be a Physio. We also discuss the huge change in the role being part time all the way through to having an extensive medical team set up. Hearing his perspective on being Covid officer for a football team and the impact this has on club and players was very enlightening. Dave also tells the tale of the complaint raised by David Gill and Sir Alex Ferguson when he joined the England National Team set up, due to him being Liverpool FC Physio... What really comes across is Dave's respect and appreciation for his wife for being so supportive and understand throughout the long and unsociable hours and various moves around the UK and overseas.
