Life Stories... With Dr Andrew Shafik

Andrew is the Lead academy doctor at Millwall FC. As well as this, he is now Senior Editor & podcaster for the Football Medicine & Performance Association and Assistant Secretary at the FA Medical Society. We are moving in to a new world of how we share and consume information and it was really interesting to hear Andrew's perspective on the impact social media is playing on this. Is an infographic more helpful than a 10 page research paper? He talks about the impact of the BJSM (where he is a Reviewer) and FMPA at disseminating this information and how critical this can be, certainly from a time saving perspective. He will be starting a new role in Spring, sharing research from UEFA at the Football Research Group. Andrew is one of the new generation of doctors and certainly is embracing the changing landscape!
