Life Stories... With Dr Subhasis Basu

from Life Stories · host Andy Thomas

Dr Subhasis Basu is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist with his private practice locations based in Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire and London, and his NHS base at Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh NHS Foundation Trust. He completed general Clinical Radiology and higher subspecialty training in Musculoskeletal (MSK) imaging at the then North West Deanery School of Radiology in Manchester. This was followed by further sub-specialist training during a one-year MSK and Sports Imaging Fellowship at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London. Shub told me about how he came to choose medicine over a career as a pilot. He lectures both nationally and internationally, and is a peer reviewed researcher. Shub gave his view on the future of imaging and the practice becoming more widely used outside of radiology. I first met Shub at our tennis club and he explains his passion for sport and how he came to be involved as an umpire. He has worked at many tournaments including Wimbledon, even being a line judge for Federer Vs Nadal!
