Life Without Parole for Kohberger | Spokane News

Bryan Kohberger received life in prison without parole for the horrific murders of four University of Idaho students, a sentence handed down after heart-wrenching testimony from grieving families and survivors who described the brutality and lasting trauma. The attack, which left one victim with over fifty stab wounds and another unrecognizable, was linked to DNA found on a knife sheath at the scene — leading investigators to Kohberger’s Pennsylvania home. Though prosecutors pushed for the death penalty, a plea deal secured life imprisonment. The judge stressed that understanding Kohberger’s motive is irrelevant — justice must focus on healing and closure for the victims’ loved ones, who now carry forward their memories as they begin to rebuild.
