Light Hearted Ep 50 – A lighthearted discussion with Michelle, Cindy, and Jeremy

from Light Hearted · host Wickie from NH

The United States Lighthouse podcast Light Hearted was launched in June 2019 as the only podcast completely devoted to lighthouses and their history, preservation, and lore. This marks the fiftieth episode, not counting a few “special editions.” To mark this milestone, this episode is different than most. Rather than featuring an interview with a guest from the lighthouse world, this episode features a free-wheeling discussion with hosts Jeremy D’Entremont, Cindy Johnson, and Michelle Jewell-Shaw. Michelle Jewell Shaw at Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse Michelle, Cindy, and Jeremy reveal how their interest in lighthouses began and how all three of them became involved with Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouses on the New Hampshire Seacoast. They discuss what they love most about their work at Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, and what they think are the biggest challenges facing lighthouse organizations today. Cindy Johnson at Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse They also look back on the first eight months of Light Hearted and what they’ve enjoyed the most, what they’d like to see in the future, and what they think is the value of a podcast devoted to lighthouses. We hope you’ll enjoy this episode as much as Jeremy, Michelle, and Cindy enjoyed making it. Jeremy D’Entremont at Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse (photo by Jim Wilton)

Join us and have a listen! Wounded Warriors of the Cross Gary Pastoral and clergy mental health is a mostly ignored area, especially by those who live their lives as pastors in the clergy. The stigma of mental health within those who serve in the shadow of the cross is something that invokes the stigma of fear. Many of those in the clergy will choose to suffer in their despair rather than reaching out for help. Sometimes those suffering choose to wait until it's too late to get the real help that they need. At Wounded Warriors of the Cross our mission is to lift the stigma and the veil of silence that encompasses clergy mental health and assist those who suffer in silence. Wounded Warriors of the Cross is here to shed the light of Christ's love into those dark places. Soft, Earthen Futures Storywork Studio Soft, Earthen Futures is a podcast about imagining and crafting a more whole world.
