Lightning Strike Shatters Family’s Home | Miami News

A lightning strike turned a North Lauderdale home into an inferno, destroying nearly everything the family owned—but miraculously, all seven members escaped unharmed. The fire erupted around 3:30 PM after a direct bolt hit near the kitchen, sending flames and smoke billowing through the house. With their lives upended and possessions lost over a decade, the family is now rebuilding one day at a time—while a GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help them get back on their feet.
