South Africa's live entertainment industry is in need of serious love and support. Through the #LightSAred campaign, the industry will host a live stream event today to raise awareness about the jobs that were instantly lost when the lockdown was announced at the end of March. freelancers, venues, theatres, artists, musicians, technical crew, backstage professionals and performers, companies and businesses, in the live entertainment industry have been affected by the blanket ban on all events. The campaign is calling on government and financial institutions to extend financial relief to those who earn a living in the technical production and live events industry until they are permitted to resume work.
