Lilo & Stitch (Just June)
from We Drink & We Watch Things
Just June continues its eclectic journey here on @wedrinkandwewatchthings, and this week, we're getting animated with a truly special pick: Disney's "Lilo & Stitch." This one holds a very particular place in Mackenzie's heart – she deeply identifies with Lilo and absolutely adores this film and its mischievous blue alien. Lemar... well, he's about to discover why. Grab your favorite tropical drink, because things are about to get weird, wonderful, and heartwarming. This episode, Mackenzie is practically bursting at the seams to share all the reasons she loves this movie, from its unique animation style and groundbreaking themes to its incredibly memorable characters. We'll be talking about the unconventional beauty of its "ohana means family" message, the perfect blend of sci-fi chaos and genuine emotional depth, and how Stitch manages to be both destructive and incredibly lovable. Lemar might start a little skeptical, but we're pretty sure by the end of the discussion, he'll be a convert. If you're a long-time fan who knows all the experiments, curious why this seemingly simple animated film resonates so deeply with so many, or just want to hear Mackenzie's pure joy infect Lemar, then this is the episode for you. We're blending heartfelt appreciation with our usual candid banter, making this a truly delightful installment of Just June. This episode VIDEO is live on YouTube AND Spotify!
