Lily Alfeld: Former Wellington Phoenix Women captain on the team's journey to the A-League final

The Wellington Phoenix women's side is one win away from securing the club's first silverware.  They meet Melbourne City in the A-League grand final on Saturday night.  The club has faced a number of challenges and tough on-field results since launching in 2021.  To look back on where it all started, Adam Cooper spoke to the Phoenix women's first signing, and the inaugural captain Lily Alfeld.  After retiring in 2023 due to injury, Alfeld is now the Phoenix's community and culture officer.  LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
