In 2022, Limerick woman Natasha O'Brien was violently assaulted after challenging homophobic abuse on O'Connell Street. The case became a national talking point, particularly after the original suspended sentence handed to her attacker was overturned on appeal and replaced with a two-year prison term.Now, with Cathal Crotty's release this week, Natasha says her experience has highlighted wider issues with how victims are treated by the justice system, and she spoke to Live95’s Kate Kennedy.Image via Live95's photo library.
