Limited View

from Epiphany for the Everyday · host Emily Hill

Have you ever bought tickets to a concert knowing that they came with a limited view? Willing to settle for missing out because the cost for something better was more than you were willing to pay. Still enjoying yourself, but experiencing a lot of the show from a screen on the side. Have you ever loved your faith that way? Settling for a glimpse of God rather than the up close and personal view because the cost of surrender and obedience seemed like more than you were willing to give. Missing out and making excuses. But the price has already been paid. Jesus covered the cost for admission and invites us all to get a front row seat to God’s presence. We just have to be willing to move closer. And sometimes that is uncomfortable. Because it will require steps toward His presence that may ask you to move away from certain people, places, and preferences. But it’s way better than staying in the cheap seats when God has already paid for the best view 🤍
