Limits - 2021/02/15

This is now my second song for volume 2 of the ongoing Off-the-cuff series. I've adopted a new workflow for creating music and it's got me going head first into how to use and work with electronic instruments more. It's opened up a door to something that used to really confuse me but now is something I feel like I can harness and I think these past two songs (this one in particular) have felt like a lot of growth in my music production. With this new direction and path forward, I wanted to show these songs in a different way than just my album art and the audio like my previous videos for my song releases. So I thought a cool way to play these songs was to play them directly from the DAW I used to compose it and also displaying some text alongside the music from my reMarkable tablet. I definitely wouldn't classify this as a performance by any means lol; this video is just me playing the song from my DAW and cycling through various screens. This new workflow of creating music however has opened more possibilities to do full performances that I'm just starting to explore. So look forward to performance videos hopefully soon!
