Lincoln Kienholz Takes the Reins | Louisville Football News

Louisville’s offense is getting a major upgrade with the arrival of transfer quarterback Lincoln Kienholz, a mobile junior from South Dakota who flashed big-play ability at Ohio State and dominated the gridiron in high school. Set to start against Ole Miss on Sept. 6, Kienholz brings a dynamic rushing threat that complements Louisville’s strong running backs and veteran line — a stark contrast to recent seasons. Coach Brian Brohm is excited to maximize his mobility, drawing from top mobile QBs in college football. Backup options include deep-threat transfer Davin Wydner, true freshman pocket passer Briggs Cherry (who led his HS team to a title), and other rising talents like Ryan Zimmerman and Mason Fields — giving Louisville a loaded, versatile QB room ready to make noise this season.
