Lindor Returns This Week

Francisco Lindor is poised to return from his calf injury this Friday, beginning a brief rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton alongside teammate Tyrone Taylor. After simulated game work, Lindor will play two games, potentially returning to the Mets as early as next week if his body responds well. Manager Carlos Mendoza stressed Lindor’s self-awareness about his recovery. His return will likely move Bo Bichette to third base, but Brett Baty’s versatility ensures he’ll remain a key contributor. Lindor’s presence alone is a major boost for the Mets, and the team is expected to rally around him as they push up the standings.
