Lindsay Clancy Trial: First Responders Describe Her Condition and the Children's Injuries

from Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary · host True Crime Today

Lindsay Clancy, the 34-year-old Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023, faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She's pleaded not guilty. Her attorney, Kevin Reddington, is mounting an insanity defense built on severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.Today the state kept building its timeline from the ground up. Duxbury Police Officers Mark Anthony Maffeo and Richard Lippard — among the first through the door — walked the jury through what they found and the state Clancy was in when they arrived. Emergency physicians Dr. Mark Josephtenerowicz and Dr. Benjamin Kaufman took the stand next, describing her physical condition on admission and the injuries sustained by the children. Lab Supervisor Melissa Arcadipane rounded out the day, walking jurors through the clinical findings that came out of processing.None of it was easy testimony to sit through, and it wasn't meant to be — this is the prosecution laying brick by brick, witness by witness, before Reddington gets his turn to argue none of it means what it looks like. Clancy is now paralyzed from the waist down after allegedly jumping from a second-story window following the killings. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out running errands at the time and has since relocated to Manhattan. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court before Judge William F. Sullivan, with Assistant District Attorneys Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham leading for the prosecution.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
