Lindsay Clancy Trial: The Medication Bottles Patrick Clancy Brought Back in February

from Hidden Killers With Tony Brueski | True Crime News & Commentary · host True Crime Today

Lindsay Clancy, the 34-year-old Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023, is on trial for three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation. She's pleaded not guilty. Her attorney, Kevin Reddington, is arguing insanity — severe postpartum psychosis, made worse, he says, by psychiatric overmedication.Today moved fast, and not because the details got smaller. Clancy stipulated to a batch of facts — the kind of move that saves the prosecution from parading witness after witness just to establish a chain of evidence nobody's actually disputing. Efficient. Doesn't mean easy to sit through.Dr. Cristina Carpio, a general surgeon at South Shore Hospital, testified about treating Clancy for the fall and the spinal injury that followed — the injury that's left her paralyzed from the waist down. Then Massachusetts State Trooper Joseph Rabbitt took the stand and walked the jury through what investigators found in the kitchen that night: medication bottles. Multiple. He testified that Patrick Clancy brought additional bottles into the house in February — and detailed exactly how much medication was left in each one when police counted. That's not background noise. That's the defense's whole architecture, one pill bottle at a time.Patrick Clancy was out running errands when it happened. He's since relocated to Manhattan and spoken to The New Yorker about his wife's mental health. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court, expected to run several more weeks.LinksJoin Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
