Line in the Sand | Grace Only!, Part 5 By Bill Corley Original Air Date: 2020.03.22 A line in the sand has been drawn _______________________________… We’ve seen it in movies, heard it in conversations and felt it in relationships. The idiom we are all so familiar with means: to set a limit beyond which someone cannot go without suffering serious consequences. It may be odd to think that Jesus would draw any lines in the sand, but He does! All through the gospels we see Him teaching the people and the religious leaders that there is a line they cannot cross in their belief and relationship with God, their behavior, how they handle the Bible, and how they live as Christians. As time goes by, there are more teachings, theories and philosophies, belief systems, and world views that have a tendency to erase and move the line Jesus drew further and further away from Him.  It has had very serious consequences in people’s lives, our world, and even inside the Church. We are excited to invite you to join us in this series “Line in the Sand” where we will explore some of the lines that Crossroads lives and functions by. It is important for every person to know and understand what their church believes and teaches beyond any given Sunday. We strive to be transparent to our church family and others, by sharing with you why we believe what we believe. From February 17 – April 5 we will cover the doctrinal statements and values of Crossroads and hope you will find it helpful in your understanding of Christ’s Church and Mission and how we strive to fulfill His commands while strengthening our relationships with each other.
