Line Noise Episode 108 (Karl Bartos)

from Line Noise Podcast · host Line Noise Podcast

Today on Line Noise we have a very special guest indeed: Karl Bartos. Bartos was a member of the legendary electronic music group, Kraftwerk, from 1974 to 1990, co-writing many of their best-loved hits, including The Robots, Neon Lights and my own favourite The Telephone Call. His autobiography; The Sound of the Machine, My Life in Kraftwerk and Beyond, was published in July and it it well worth the read. In our interview we talked about the legend of Kraftwerk, creativity, the problem with Electric Café, Johnny Marr, Florian Schneider and more.
