Lions Roar, Redblacks Suffer Again | Calgary News

The B.C. Lions crushed the Ottawa Redblacks 45-24, extending their winning streak to five games while deepening the Redblacks’ winless drought to 11 games this season and 17 straight overall. But the Lions’ post-game social media jab—“The Road Team, please enjoy yet another lemon. Thank you”—sparked backlash, with many calling it cheap and unprofessional. While some laughed, former players and media voiced concern over mocking a team in such dire straits. Meanwhile, the Lions themselves have had their own rocky start, losing three of four and five of six early in the year. The tweet remains up, and Ottawa has stayed silent.
