In the latest episode of the Empowerography Podcast, my guest is Lisette Kingo. Born in Sweden to an entrepreneur and war survivor - I never had much family around. Most were murdered in the war. We came to Canada in search of family. Here i modeled and worked in coffe shops and eventually as a private investigator for many years. ( sat on the board for crime stoppers ) Studied psychology at university Of western. I have always been an empath and self-starter.  After I was married. I finally pregnant but I was brutally assaulted and lost the child. We were broke my husband was just getting his Canadian work visa. This was a difficult time. This is when I started the angel project. No one should have to feel that alone. Kingo couture was founded years later and quickly grew from a small import business to a larger distribution company. Working with Miss Universe, JCK luxury etc. the angel project grew bigger and bigger and we helped more people than ever. We began lobbying for patients and change. 7 years ago I became very ill. Eventually diagnosed with rare disease something I have become passionate about. But I never stopped fighting for those who need me. In fact that became my full time passion. Some of the latest accolades are that I am one of the few non rotarians to receive the Paul Harris fellow and humanitarian award first received by mother Theresa.
