E-scooters, according to clinicians cited by the Road Safety Authority, have become the single biggest cause of traumatic brain injuries among children admitted under neurosurgery and rehabilitation services at Temple Street. The stark warning has prompted renewed calls for stronger regulation as the RSA launched a campaign highlighting the dangers associated with e-scooter use.
