When little Athena Bryson was asked what she wanted for Christmas, she ruffled a few feathers by saying a pet turkey. The six-year-old vegetarian told her mother it was the only way she could save a bird from slaughter. Well, her wish has been granted and Valerie Lucky - as the turkey's been named - will be spending Christmas day - ALIVE - with the Bryson's. Athena's mother Melissa takes up the story.
