Listen: John and Kathi Burke on their new 'Animalopedia'!

IT's their first original 'Opedia' book in eight years and father-daughter duo John and Kathi Burke from Waterford city will be launching it in The Book Centre this evening (Wednesday).'Animalopedia' explores Ireland's animals by habitat, the myths and legends associated with them, favourite folklore superstitions and famous real-life Irish dogs, horses and dolphins, amongst others.There's a lot to dive into it and readers will be totally absorbed by Kathi's detailed illustrations - and her dad John's fabulous facts.John, a retired primary teacher and principal at Passage East NS, and Kathi are, of course, also behind the fabulous 'Irelandopedia', the 10th anniversary edition of which is also being launched this week.This morning (Wed), ahead of their launch this evening, they dropped into studio to 'Deise Today' for a chat with Damien.You can listen back by clicking on the image above...See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
