Mark Alford (R-Raymore) addressed the issue on 939 the Eagle's "Wake Up Missouri", telling listeners that he supports the plan. Congressman Alford says Director Patel's plan would add 32 agents and personnel to the FBI's Kansas City regional office. Congressman Alford says that office is less than a year old. The congressman also addressed a recent protest at his Columbia office from State Rep. David Tyson Smith (D-Columbia), who wanted Congressman Alford to push back against what he calls tyranny.
