Listening

LISTENING Transcript: Let's talk about listening. I think if we were all honest with ourselves, we would say that listening is difficult on many occasions. Have you been in a conversation where you're trying to finish the person’s sentence or you're somewhere else and not fully present? Buddha said a beautiful thing: “Listen to people with a beginner's mind” If we can be present and if we're in a good practice of Mindfulness, Meditation or any other modality that gets you into a present state, you can really listen to someone, their perspective, and where they're at as though you've never heard it before. Our brains are trying to complete things... They're trying to finish things. They're trying to guess They're gauging many things at once. Try to be fully present next time with a friend over coffee, or when you're having dinner with your partner. Pretend that you don't know anything about them. Happy Listening. 😊 Peace and Love - ts
